Ross County FC have staged a hilarious comeback over Motherwell by switching to shinty at half-time.

The staggies pulled back from 3 goals down and to win 6-3 after breaking the legs of the Motherwell players, coaching staff and travelling support.

County boss Jim McIntyre was impressed with his team’s initiative:

“The lads all got together this morning and they all agreed that playing football was getting them nowhere.”

“Some of the foreign lads took a while to get used to the new tactics but they really came into their own when they realised that Motherwell had no means of defending themselves”.

Motherwell manager Ian Baraclough was disappointed but felt that the result was fair:

“It’s difficult to defend against these long balls when a deranged Slovakian is coming at you with a shinty stick. Fair play to the county lads though, I wish we’d thought of it”.

The Scottish Football Association worried that these tactics may give County and unfair advantage in upcoming fixtures and are looking to provide other teams with riot shields and a single handgun:

“We will be blindfolding the player with the gun. We don’t want this to descend into chaos or anything”.
