Lib Dem leadership to highlight “much worse things” Carmichael has done.

The Liberal Democrats have decided to back beleaguered MP Alistair Carmichael by highlighting much worse things he hasn’t been sacked for.

“We didn’t fire him that time he washed his car with a barn owl or the time he called the queen gay” said Scottish leader Willie Rennie.

“I remember the night he beat several of his aides to death with a takeaway latte cup. This latest scandal is nothing. Trust us. When have the Lib Dems ever let you down before?”

“And nobody ever talks about the Norwich incident. That shit is forbidden”.

To spite the fellow Lib Dems throwing their “full weight” behind Carmichael, opponents have pointed out that there is only so much that 7 MP’s can weigh.
