Argyll Man gutted he has to stop eating Beaver

Allan MacQueen of Knapdale has had his dinner plans scunnered by news that the Beaver is to be made a protected species in Scotland:

“First you couldn’t poach deer then it was wildcats and capercaillie. Next thing you know it’ll be illegal to shoot tourists lost in the forest. This is PC gone mad” squawked Allan.

“Not only are Beavers high in natural Omega 3 acid but their tails double up as handy plates to save on the washing up!”

“I’m going to end up buying a dishwasher now. They are bad for the environment. “

The enhanced protection for Beavers has been enacted as part of a Scottish Government initiative to make Scotland tree free by 2023.
